C-ID, Course Identification Numbering System, is an intersegmental effort to replace the defunct California Articulation Number - CAN System. C-ID has sought the participation of all segments of higher education in California (California Community Colleges, California State Universities, University of California, and Private Institutions) and is already an improvement over the old CAN System.
