Student Learning Objectives

As programs and curriculum evolve, it becomes necessary to identify improvements in course outlines to stay abreast with educational initiatives and provide more usable information. One such initiative is the emphasis on assessment and the development of Student Learning Outcomes (SLO’s). We can no longer measure teaching success on "what do we cover in a course" or "what did we teach", instead we need to be asking ourselves "what did the student learn" and "how do we know we met the learning objectives of the course based on what the student can demonstrate and at what competency level".      [Read More]
